Hard work has paid off for two members of staff at Jennings Mazda who have taken on additional responsibilities at the group’s branch in Middlesbrough.
The Cargo Fleet Lane dealership, which has officially been accredited as a specialist dealer for the Mazda3 MPS five-door hot hatch model, has nominated David Horsley, sales controller/business manager and sales executive, Jason Thomas, as the branch’s dedicated MPS representatives.
Dedicated David has worked for the Jennings Motor Group for just under seven years. Prior to being promoted to sales controller/business manager, which involves working closely with the franchise manager in addition to all aspects of finance at the Jennings Mazda branch in Middlesbrough, he spent five years working as a sales executive at the group’s Ford operation in Stockton.
Ambitious Jason has been working as a sales executive at the Mazda dealership for the past two years. Jason joined the dealership after working in a similar role for another motor dealer in the area. Already he has scooped the ‘ Top Salesman’ title after selling a total of 180 new and used cars to customers which automatically put him at the top of the sales league table last year.
In order to qualify as dedicated MPS specialists, David and Jason successfully completed a number of training programmes, which were organised by Mazda.
James Chorlton, franchise manager at the Jennings Mazda dealership in Middlesbrough, said: “Only 89 out of 157 Mazda dealers nationwide are participating in the programme and we are delighted to be bringing the new initiative to both new and existing Mazda3 customers.”
He added; “David and Jason are two committed and conscientious members of the team who were more than willing to take on the additional responsibilities.”
The new specialist dealer status, which has been set up by Mazda in order to provide customers with a performance-orientated customer experience, means the Jennings Mazda branch in Middlesbrough will have an allocated Mazda3 MPS demonstrator on site, two dedicated sales staff to see to customers’ needs and requirements, access to a priority new car ordering system, in addition to hosting frequent Mazda3 MPS customer events at the dealership.
