Placing in the top ten of Mazda’s national sales league table has resulted in a member of staff at Jennings Mazda jetting off on an all expenses paid trip to Italy.
Rob Day, who works as a sales executive at the Cargo Fleet Lane branch in Middlesbrough, has been chosen to represent the dealership at Mazda Europe’s forthcoming MX-5 20th Anniversary Endurance and Economy Race, which is scheduled to take place at the Adria International Raceway, near Venice later this month.
Achieving the highest sales performance versus objective for the last quarter of 2009, automatically placed the JenningsMazda Middlesbrough dealership in Mazda’s national top ten sales league table, in addition to securing a place at the Anniversary Race.
James Chorlton, franchise manager at Jennings Mazda in Middlesbrough, said;
“We are absolutely delighted to be the only Mazda dealership in the North East to have secured a place in the national top ten sales league table and to be given the opportunity to celebrate this unique opportunity with a place at the Anniversary Race, is fantastic.”
With only one place allocated, the only fair way to decide who was going to represent the dealership was to put everyone’s name into a hat.
James added; “Rob was the chosen one. I’m sure it will be an absolutely fantastic experience for him. Let’s hope he brings some silverware home with him!”
The purpose of the race is to jointly celebrate twenty years of selling the world’s best-selling roadster across Europe with all countries participating in an endurance and economy race.
As the most significant market in Europe for Mazda MX-5 sales, Mazda has secured four race-prepped cars to compete against other European markets.
The current MX-5 sportscars, which were upgraded in April 09 and are available to test drive at Jennings Mazda in Middlesbrough, come with alloy wheels, leather steering wheel, gear knob and hand-brake, plus an MP3-compatible audio system with six speakers and a new auxiliary input jack for MP3 and iPod connection.
