Customers visiting Jennings Mazda's branches in Middlesbrough and Sunderland are continuing to take advantage of post-scrappage deals currently on offer at the dealership.
The Cargo Fleet Lane and Riverside Road dealerships, are offering simple and unbeatable offers to customers as it looks to build on Mazda’s 2009 sales successes that were particularly strong in key regions of the UK including the North of England.
Customers visiting the two dealerships are being tempted with up to £2000 off with no trade-in required, explained Mazda UK Sales and Marketing Director, Mark Cameron.
“Now that the Government scrappage fund has run out many manufacturers have launched their own version of the scrappage scheme. In fact, there are now so many different offers with different terms and conditions, some on 10 year old cars and some on seven year old cars, that choosing the best scheme is both difficult and confusing for the customer and requires a car to part exchange or scrap.
“At Mazda we have decided to make our post scrappage offers simple to understand, fair and equitable for all. It does not depend on having an aged car and is open to all customers, ensuring anyone who wants to buy a new Mazda can get a great deal and purchase their perfect car at a fair price.”
The initiative is designed to maintain the strong regional sales start to 2010 that many Mazda dealers have reported.
While Mazda’s share of the UK market, has been a healthy 2.4 per cent during the first 12 weeks of the year (January, February and March), there have been some remarkable successes elsewhere, with dealers in the North, including JenningsMazda in Middlesbrough and Sunderland, helping the brand post a 3.1 per cent market share.
Bucking the trend of the economic downturn, Mazda UK achieved its third best year in 2009 since the marque arrived in Britain in the 1960s and saw its retail market share reach its highest ever at 2.4 per cent. Meanwhile, the brand achieved its eighth consecutive year of growth in the UK, a feat that no other major car brand has achieved.
