As World Cup fever takes hold across the globe, staff at Jennings Mazda in Sunderland, have been doing their bit to support the England team.
The Riverside Road dealership, just off Wessington Way, has had a number of cars striped up displaying three lions on the bonnet rather than the shirt, in the hope that it brings good luck for the football match against Algeria on Friday evening.
Chris Nixon, franchise manager at Jennings Mazda in Sunderland, said; “The entire nation is gripped with the World Cup and we simply wanted to show our support and appreciation to Capello and the England team and came up with the idea of striping a red Mazda MX-5 with the England logo and a white Mazda2 with the St George’s Cross.”
The word soon spread across Wearside and before long, the showroom was packed with football fans keen to catch a glimpse of the red and white MX-5 and Mazda2 models.
Chris added; “The cars look absolutely fantastic and have been generating a lot of interest from customers who have been coming to the dealership specifically to see the ‘England’ cars. Fingers crossed they bring the result we want on Friday!”
Jennings Mazda in Sunderland is responsible for selling the whole Mazda range to customers across Wearside. Everything from the Mazda2, 3, 5, 6, MX-5, RX-8 and CX-7, is on display and available to test drive at the dealership.
